There are several things we always want to address quickly when planning your kitchen cabinet layout:

  1. Where is your kitchen sink going to go?
  2. Where will your kitchen appliances be?
  3. What size and style appliances do you have (particularly the fridge and stove)?
  4. Where are your corner cabinets and what features do you want in them?

The answers to these four questions provide a good foundation for the rest of the kitchen design.

The first step towards a beautiful kitchen is getting to know you and your needs.

We’ll need to measure the space so we can make sure your new cabinets will fit. 

Once we are complete with the design process of your cabinets, our team of Amish cabinet makers will expertly build them, giving life to the kitchen of your dreams. When they are finished, our installers will contact you to arrange a time to come and install your new kitchen!

We encourage three standard features in every kitchen we design and build:

  1. Soft-close drawer slides and hinges
  2. Double waste can pull-out cabinets 
  3. Utensil dividers in 2-3 drawers.

Styles come and go, but here are three that we receive many requests for:

  1. Contemporary-modern cabinets. These are a simple cabinet style and sometimes referred to as the “Shaker style”
  2. Decorative-ornate. These have additional woodworking and trim pieces, giving the cabinets and kitchen some extra flair.
  3. Farmhouse style. Also called the “reclaimed look,” these bring a rustic and sometimes stressed style into your kitchen.

No matter the style you want in your cabinets, our skilled team of cabinet makers is ready to design and create them!

In current cabinet styles, we see many requests for:

Absolutely! We want your kitchen to be yours, so we allow you to have full customization over the following cabinet parts:

  • Interior wood choice
  • Exterior wood choice

There are limitless options when it comes to customizing your kitchen cabinets! The standard depth for a set of drawers is 24,” but you can go as deep or shallow depending on how much storage space that particular setup will provide.

  1. 3/4″ plywood for the main box frame (industry standard is 1/2″ plywood).
  2. No staples are used that can come out; only glues and screws.
  3. We add supports behind each drawer.
  4. We design and build for long-term stability and quality.

Our goal is that if you want a new kitchen 10-15 years from now, that you can sell your kitchen for a good resale value.

Located just 14 miles outside of Harrisburg, Hershey is an unincorporated community with around 14,257 residents. It covers a total of 14.4 square miles. 

 

The community of Hershey was founded by Milton Hershey and his wife, Catherine. The original purpose was to provide a community for the employees of the Milton Hershey chocolate factory. And Milton Hershey surely did his community up right!  The town included homes with modern amenities and free schooling for the employees’ children, as well as amusements such as a community center and zoo. 

 

Hershey’s goal with his community was to provide “a perfect American town in a bucolic natural setting, where healthy, right-living, and well-paid workers lived in safe, happy homes.” Although the original chocolate factory closed in 2012 due to high costs of operation, Hershey’s legacy lives on in the area today in the many organizations and facilities he founded. These include the Milton Hershey school, the Hersheypark stadium, Hershey Gardens, and more.
